He’s also been called “Harrisburg's most politically well-connected conservative" by Harrisburg Magazine.
A graduate of the Villanova University School of Law, Charlie has been a Pennsylvania lawyer for more than 35 years. He began his career as a campaign aide to Ronald Reagan, for whom he continued to work for more than 25 years, including the preparations for his funeral.
Charlie has appeared on virtually every television network and has been quoted in every major newspaper in the country. He has served as the political analyst and commentator for the Harrisburg CBS affiliate (CBS-21) for more than a decade, writes a weekly column for The Harrisburg Patriot (PennLive) and monthly commentary for The Regions Business and Capital Watch.
Charlie serves as the First Vice Chair of The American Conservative Union and on the Board of Directors of The Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge and the American Swiss Foundation. He is a Director Emeritus of the Keystone State Games.
Charlie has served as an expert resource to the White House Conference on Small Business and been appointed by several Pennsylvania Governors to major advisory boards, most recently the Governors Innovation and Privatization Advisory Council. He has also been appointed by the President of the United States to the Benjamin Franklin Tercentenary Commission.
Charlie speaks extensively before business and professional organizations and has held adjunct faculty positions at Dickinson, Lebanon Valley and Gettysburg Colleges.
